This week I am in India! The country where the most beautiful stones come from and where we produce many of our designs. All handmade. A full week of supplier visits and whole days of fine-tuning new collections, what could be better? Very beautiful products are coming, unique designs. Where we are constantly taking a step in quality. I can't wait to share everything with you. Today I went with a supplier (combining the useful with the pleasant) to do a bucket list activity: a visit to the Taj Mahal. Mega impressive, this marble mausoleum, one of the new seven wonders of the world. India, forever my heart pledged to. Another day and a half of hard work and then back to Amsterdam, to my 3 little ones and husband. And off to the studio, more designing! What a party! Lots of love, Geneviève

How do I maintain my jewelry?

We use a relatively thick layer of gold over the base with an extra protective layer on top to keep the jewelry beautiful for a long time.

To ensure that the gold remains beautiful and shiny for as long as possible, here are some tips:

Do not wear jewellery while showering, swimming or in the sauna. And do not leave it in the bathroom or in a damp room, because condensation can cause discolouration in the long term.
Make-up, hairspray and perfume contain substances that can damage jewelry and even stain it.
Therefore, only put in your earrings when you have finished showering and/or putting on make-up.
Sleep without jewelry. This can already damage them considerably
Do not wear jewelry during strenuous work. The beauty of most jewelry is not resistant to perspiration and you can also damage or lose your jewelry.
Store your jewelry separately from each other so that the harder gemstones cannot damage the metals (silver and gold on silver) and the soft gemstones. And preferably in a grip bag and in a dark cupboard. This way no light and air can get to it and less oxidation occurs.
Do not expose the jewelry to the sun or too much daylight for too long (in any case store them when you are not wearing them). Gemstones in particular can discolour.
If there is some tarnish or dust or other dirt in the jewelry, clean it with a regular sunglasses cloth or with a damp cloth in lukewarm soapy water with a little (!) dishwashing liquid. You can also use a soft toothbrush, but don't brush too hard, because you can polish the gold layer with it! Then dry them with a soft cloth (NOT a silver cloth!).

How long the gold layer stays on the base metals also depends on the acidity of the skin. The gold layer wears off faster for one person than for another.

What is your jewelry made of?

Our jewelry is carefully crafted from high-quality materials such as 24 carat gold plated components and original Swarovski crystals. Each piece is designed by Geneviève in Amsterdam.

Are the jewelry nickel-free?

Yes, all our jewelry is nickel-free and therefore suitable for the most sensitive ears.

Does each piece of jewelry come with packaging?

Every piece of jewelry at Le Rêve Amsterdam comes standard in a beautiful, festive box. We can also wrap it for you and/or you can choose to add extra festive, luxury packaging (see the options at the top of this product page). You will also receive a surprise with every order... Your moment! ❤️

Can I return my order?

Yes, you can return within 14 days provided the jewelry is unworn and in its original condition. Exceptions are sale items or gift packaging, which may not be returned. Jewelry that was produced especially for you (e.g. clips or silver/rose-colored jewelry or a specific color stone) cannot be returned either.

For earrings, 1 of the 2 earrings is packaged with a seal. If this seal is broken, the right to return is logically forfeited.
